1989 I.A.D. Venus

IAD (International Automotive Design), a UK-based company founded in the 1970s, first unveiled the Venus concept car at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show. For 1990 IAD revealed a working prototype of the Venus, which used a Lotus Elite drive-train transplanted into a unique body. One of the more unusual features of the IAD Venus, apart from its shape, were the wheel coverings which almost entirely encased the wheel
