IAD (International Automotive Design), a UK-based company founded in the 1970s, first unveiled the Venus concept car at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show. For 1990 IAD revealed a working prototype of the Venus, which used a Lotus Elite drive-train transplanted into a unique body.
