The 2001 Honda Dualnote Concept showcases advanced technology and design in a hybrid sports car. It is equipped with the Honda IMA System, an evolution of the Civic Hybrid system, which combines a 3.5-liter V6 i-VTEC engine with electric motor/generator assist. The powerplant includes an additional front-drive motor, resulting in an impressive 400 horsepower output while achieving exceptional fuel economy.

The mid-engine, rear-drive, hybrid 4-wheel drive configuration incorporates ATTS (Advanced Torque Transfer System) for smoother and more stable cornering and VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) to suppress side slip.
