2024 Isuzu D-Max EV Concept Truck

Isuzu has announced the debut of its first electric vehicle, the D-Max BEV, which will be unveiled at the Bangkok Motor Show. This concept truck blends the ruggedness of the D-Max with electric technology and features all-wheel drive and a one-tonne payload. The production version may arrive in the UK next year, with sales starting in Norway before expanding to other markets.

The D-Max BEV is powered by two electric motors with a combined output of 176PS and 325Nm, supplied by a 66.9kWh battery. Isuzu claims a 3.5-tonne towing capacity for the vehicle, but the range figure has not been published yet. The electric D-Max offers instant torque and a top speed exceeding 81 mph.

Isuzu plans to introduce the D-Max BEV in select European markets by 2025, with further expansion into the UK, Australia, Thailand, and other regions based on market demand and EV charging infrastructure development. The company aims to provide an environmentally friendly option without compromising performance or reliability, signaling a new era for pick-up trucks.
