1980 Ford Probe II Concept by Ghia

The Ford Probe II was a concept car built by Ford in 1980. The Probe II was almost a production model geared more towards safety and less towards the radical design of the Probe I. You can see the makings of the mid-to-late 80s style Fords in this concept and the eventual severing of ties with the more heavily designed Probe I.

Between 1979 and 1985, designers in Dearborn and the Ghia studio in Europe generated a series of concepts to explore aerodynamic efficiency and potential fuel economy benefits:
