The 2026 Vision BMW ALPINA is BMW’s first major Alpina concept since the brand became part of BMW Group. Revealed at the 2026 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, it previews what Alpina will mean under BMW ownership.

It is a large four-seat coupe, measuring 5,200 mm long, with a long roofline, shark-nose front end, wide stance, and classic Alpina details. BMW says the concept is built around three core Alpina values: speed, comfort, and sophistication.

The concept uses a V8 powertrain, but BMW has not released displacement, horsepower, torque, or performance figures. The engine was tuned to fit Alpina’s character, with a richer exhaust sound and a stronger focus on smooth long-distance speed rather than harsh track behavior.

Visually, the car brings back several Alpina signatures. It has the brand’s classic 20-spoke wheels, sized 22 inches in front and 23 inches in back. It also uses modernized Alpina deco-lines, a shark-nose grille, elliptical quad exhaust tips, and polished metal “ALPINA” lettering in the lower front apron.

Inside, the Vision BMW ALPINA is built as a luxury grand tourer, not a stripped-out performance coupe. The cabin uses full-grain leather, blue and green stitching, BMW Panoramic iDrive, a passenger screen, and a special Alpina interface. It also includes a Comfort+ drive mode, which pushes the car even further toward Alpina’s traditional focus on relaxed high-speed driving.

The rear console includes one of the strangest luxury details: a glass water bottle and crystal glasses that rise from a self-deploying mechanism. Each glass is engraved with 20 deco-lines and held in place by hidden magnets.

BMW has not confirmed production, but the concept clearly points toward Alpina’s future as a luxury performance brand positioned above regular BMW models and below Rolls-Royce.

The Vision BMW ALPINA is not about chasing lap times. It is about restoring Alpina’s old formula: fast, calm, expensive, and comfortable. If BMW keeps that balance, Alpina could become one of its most interesting luxury sub-brands.
