The 2025 AIM EVM is a new electric city car from the Nagoya-based engineering firm, designed by SN Design Platform, a studio led by Shiro Nakamura, the former design chief at Nissan. The EVM’s distinctive styling is inspired by Shisa, the guardian deity of Okinawa, where it will first be sold in the summer before a nationwide launch. Powered by a 19hp electric motor, the car offers a range of 120 km (75 miles) and a top speed limited to 60 km/h (37 mph), as per Japan’s "Ultra-Compact Mobility" regulations that restrict it from highway driving. The car features removable targa-style T-roof panels, which can be conveniently stored in the boot. AIM has set an annual production target of 1000 units, with a starting price of ¥1,900,000 ($12,500).
