The 2006 Heuliez Macarena was a four-door convertible concept based on the Peugeot 407 sedan. It was designed and built by French coachbuilder Heuliez and shown at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. The concept was created mainly to showcase a new retractable hardtop system while keeping four doors and four seats.
The Macarena's main feature was its three-piece glass roof. At the push of a button, the roof folded into the rear of the car. The long side guides crossed over each other as the roof folded, similar to the arm movement in the Macarena dance, which is where the car got its name. When stored, the roof took up about 300 liters of trunk space.
Turning the Peugeot 407 into a convertible required extra body reinforcement because removing the fixed roof reduced structural strength. Heuliez added a crossbar behind the front seats to help stiffen the body. This made access to the rear seats less convenient, but the car still offered seating for four.

The Heuliez Macarena never reached production. It was built as a working design and engineering showcase for Heuliez's folding-roof technology. Its combination of a Peugeot 407 sedan body, four doors and a large retractable glass roof made it one of the more unusual convertible concepts shown in 2006.
