2000 Dodge MAXXcab Concept Truck

The 2000 Dodge MAXXcab Concept Truck, also known as the "Passenger Priority Pick-up," was initially showcased at NAIAS 2000 in Detroit. This concept utilized a cab-forward design to maximize interior spaciousness, enhancing loading and unloading with the inclusion of an elevator tailgate. The truck featured a 4.7-liter V-8 engine with 238 horsepower and 295 ft.-lbs. of torque under its shortened hood.

The MAXXcab aimed to redefine truck interiors through innovative cab-forward styling. The center console housed an LCD laptop, and a voice-recognition system allowed drivers to use the computer, built-in navigation system, telephone, or the Internet while driving. The concept introduced a kidview camera overhead, providing upfront passengers with a view of the rear seats. The 4.7-liter Next-Generation Magnum V8 engine delivered 238 hp, enabling the truck to reach a top speed of 114 mph through an all-wheel-drive, electronically controlled, multispeed transmission.
