The Fiat 600 Multipla Spiaggetta was a one-off beach car designed by Giovanni Michelotti for the coachbuilder Vignale. Unveiled at the 1956 Geneva Motor Show, it took the practical Fiat 600 Multipla and transformed it into a light-hearted leisure vehicle inspired by nautical themes and futuristic design. Its most striking feature was the "floating" roof, which eliminated the usual B and C pillars, relying instead on exposed tubular supports—giving it an airy, open feel well suited to sunny Mediterranean coastlines.

The Spiaggetta was never intended for mass production and sadly remained a single prototype. Over time, its trail went cold, and the car is now considered lost. Unless it’s tucked away in a forgotten Italian boathouse or private collection, the Fiat 600 Multipla Spiaggetta exists today only in period photos and memory—a bold design exercise from the optimistic postwar jet-age era.
