2002 Saab Novanta Concept by Bertone

The 2002 Saab Novanta Concept by Bertone was created to commemorate Bertone's 90th anniversary. Following the "Filo" concept car, the Novanta showcases the potential of "drive-by-wire" technology. Utilizing a Saab drivetrain, this prototype features one door on the left side, while the passenger's side boasts two doors. The rear lights, positioned in line with the exhausts, are only visible when illuminated.

While the Novanta represents a typical modern or futuristic Bertone design, some feel it lacks the timeless beauty found in cars designed by figures like Giugiaro.

Technical specifications include:

  • Engine: V6, 3.0 liters, producing 200 horsepower

  • Length: 4450mm

  • Height: 1450mm

  • Width: 1800mm

  • Tires: 245-40/20 mounted on 20-inch rims
