2000 Isuzu VX-4 Concept

Expanding on the innovative VehiCROSS concept, Isuzu introduced the VX-4, a 4-door version built on a full-size Trooper frame, exploring new dimensions in SUV design. The VX-4 successfully extended the body and added two doors without compromising the unique style and grace that defined the VehiCROSS. This transformation introduced an element of "Utility," addressing a perceived lack in the production model, as acknowledged by VX owners.

Notably, the VX-4 embraced family-oriented functionality with the incorporation of video monitors and other interior features. The more conservative interior colors reinforced the concept of creating a family-friendly VehiCROSS, catering to a broader audience.

Although the VX-4 remains in prototype status, Isuzu's preparation of a five-door variant indicates a potential shift towards production. Recognizing the heightened demand for full-fledged five-door models, the VX-4 signifies Isuzu's commitment to meeting evolving market preferences.

In summary, the Isuzu VX-4 exemplifies a strategic evolution of the VehiCROSS concept, blending utility and family-oriented design on a full-size Trooper frame.
