The Fiat Fiorino Pickup, launched in 1981, was a utility-focused variant of the first-generation Fiorino, itself based on the long-running Fiat 127 supermini platform. By the time the pickup debuted, the 127 had already been in production for a decade and proven its mechanical reliability and versatility across various body styles.
This pickup version offered a compact and economical solution for small businesses and tradespeople, combining the maneuverability of a small car with the practicality of an open cargo bed. It retained front-wheel drive and shared much of its running gear with the 127, making it easy to maintain and inexpensive to run. The Fiorino Pickup carved out a niche in European and South American markets, where it became a familiar sight in urban and rural settings alike.
