Heuliez unveiled at the 1972 Paris Motor Show, under the designer Yves Dubernard's claw, a one-box vehicle based on the Peugeot 204. It was a Taxi project, very compact in shape (length 365 cm), which did not exceed the prototype stage. The concept was far ahead of its time. The 504 taxis still had a bright future ahead of them. The H4 was a precursor to our MPVs of today.
