2023 Nissan Hyper Tourer Concept Van



Nissan introduces the Hyper Tourer, the third installment in its series of advanced electric vehicle (EV) concepts, set to make its physical debut at the Japan Mobility Show starting October 25. The Nissan Hyper Tourer is designed to enhance the shared travel experience, combining Japanese hospitality (omotenashi) with cutting-edge technologies, including autonomous driving.


Key Features:


1. Comfortable and Stylish Exterior:

  • Smooth body panels and sharp character lines reflect traditional Japanese beauty.

  • Diagonal flow from front to rear fender enhances aerodynamic performance.

  • White waistline serves as a headlight and signature lamp.

  • Kumiko-patterned wheels and soft, straight body lines create a premium feel.


2. Spacious and Innovative Interior:

  • Nissan EV Technology Vision enables compact components and high-energy density all-solid-state batteries for innovative car packaging.

  • Ultra-low center of gravity combined with e-4ORCE all-wheel control system ensures smooth acceleration and deceleration.

  • Overhead console and lighting feature traditional Japanese kumiko and koushi patterns.

  • Flat LED panel in the floor displays imagery of a riverbed and the sky, creating a relaxing space where digital and nature converge.


3. Fully Autonomous Driving:

  • Front seats can swivel 360 degrees, enabling face-to-face discussions between front- and rear-seat passengers.

  • Rear-seat passengers can use a wearable display to interact with navigation and audio on the front-seat center display.

  • AI system monitors biometric signs, adjusting music and lighting to complement occupants' mood.


4. V2X Functionality and High-Capacity Battery:

  • Allows electricity supply to homes, stores, and offices while traveling and during various business occasions.


5. Reimagining Group Road Trips:

  • Redefines the group road trip by combining the comfort of a luxurious living room with the convenience of a passenger van.

  • Fosters a sense of unity among occupants through innovative design and technologies.


The Nissan Hyper Tourer concept envisions a future where EVs not only provide efficient and autonomous transportation but also elevate the shared travel experience, blending luxury, technology, and Japanese hospitality.
